Tools for teaching observational methods

ORGANIZED BY:

Researchers are aware of the many advantages technology has to offer in terms of increased efficiency and accuracy of data collection and analysis. Many behavioral researchers are also involved in teaching observational methods classes and try to improve the quality of teaching as well as to share this knowledge with their students.

This has lead to novel approaches, using multimedia techniques. Although the skills of systematic observation and assessment of behavior are central components of many undergraduate courses, they are becoming increasingly difficult to teach effectively using traditional approaches given the increases in student/trainee numbers.

This SIG meeting intends to bring together teachers of observational classes who share an interest in methods, techniques and tools for the study of behavior and to discuss the many difficulties that you will come across.
