TUTORIAL
Advanced Behavioral Data Manipulation and Management
Peter Chen
(Noldus Information Technology, Inc., Leesburg, VA, USA)
Benefits
You will learn the advanced data manipulation features in The Observer
software. You will also learn some of the most powerful data manipulation
techniques and software packages, such as Excel and SAS. The two case
studies are real data manipulation problems with test datasets from our
customers.
Features
Participants will be introduced to:
- Advance data manipulation features in The Observer
- Data manipulation using Excel
- Case study 1: using VBA Macro (Visual Basic for Application) to
calculate interval duration in Excel
- Case study 2: reuse subjects in The Observer configuration and advance
data manipulation using SAS
Audience
This tutorial is intended for researchers who want to manipulate behavioral
data collected by The Observer software or any other software for advance
analysis and modeling. Basic understanding of The Observer software,
Excel, VBA Macro, and SAS as well as general experience in statistical
modeling is useful but not required.
Presentation
Power Point slides and demonstration using The Observer, Excel, and
SAS.
