Keynotes MB2018

We are very fortunate to have attracted four outstanding keynote speakers to Measuring Behavior 2018. The keynotes cover a very wide range of topics about measuring the behavior of people, animals and robots and with many different techniques. Carl Payton will tell us about biomechanical measures for paralympic swimmers.  Françoise Wemelsfelder will explain how she uses qualitative behavioral assessment methods to help judge an animal’s overall welfare state. Frank Grasso will present parallel studies in robots and octopuses quantifying the kinematics of motor behavior. Karl Bates will make the link between functional morphology and behavioral and evolutionary ecology in birds. And Kim Kaos will treat us to a spectacular interaction with a puppet polar bear.
