That said, a successful core is a valuable resource for any institution. This 30 minute tutorial is designed for researchers and administrators who are considering building a rodent behavioral core, or would like to expand their current behavioral testing capacity. The goal is to provide guidance, information, and tips, based on interviews from current core directors throughout North America. During this tutorial, the audience will learn:
- What are the benefits for building a behavioral core?
- Who should lead or manage the core?
- What tests and apparatuses should you include?
- How should I design, configure, promote, and finance the core?
