Extra call for papers
The scientific program committee of Measuring Behavior 2022 is pleased to announce an extra Call for Papers for the upcoming online conference in May 2022. In order to allow participation in the conference by those who didn't sign up for the physical conference, we are having an extra call for papers
All authors of scientific presentations at Measuring Behavior 2022 need to submit both a short text abstract (up to 250 characters, for the conference program) and a 1 to 7 page short paper using the conference style guide (for the Proceedings). This applies to authors of general papers and those invited to present in a symposium. Poster presenters use the same style, but should submit a short paper of about one page.
All the short papers will be anonymously peer-reviewed and published in the Conference Proceedings (with ISBN and DOI). A selection of papers will be published in a special multi-topic issue of Frontiers.
Details of the requirements of the short paper are given in the style guide. The most important are:
- Focus on new and improved methods and techniques, not results, related to the measurement of behavior of people or animals.
- Submissions are invited on (but not limited to) the subjects listed on the Topics page
- 1-7 pages in English, using the styles in the guide, written for a broad audience
- If the work includes animal experiments or suffering to human subjects, it must include an ethical statement.
To upload your abstract and short paper you need to first register (payment is after acceptance) and then go to the submission page. The deadline for submission for both the 250 character abstract and the 1-7 page paper is 24th February 2022 (see here for other deadlines).
For tutorials, prototype demonstrations, an abstract by e-mail to Andrew {at] measuringbehavior.org is sufficient. An explanation of the difference between all the different kinds of program elements can be found here.
