With the rescheduling of the conference until October 2021, the Program Committee has had to decide what to do about the Proceedings. Some PhD students needed the publication to be this year, so that they could graduate. However, for many authors, if they didn't update their manuscript, there would be a big mismatch between the written Proceedings and their presentation. We have decided to split the Proceedings over 2 volumes to enable maximum flexibility. Authors can publish their original paper this autumn in Volume 1, or publish either the original or an updated version in Volume 2 next year. They also have the option to withdraw or submit a completely new version.
In the meantime most authors have responded to us and we see that all four options will be used. 10% intend to submit a completely new version and 20-25% have gone for each of the other 4 options.
The special issue in Frontiers in Psychology will go ahead as planned this autumn and that is still open for submissions.
