Combining Behavior with Brain Imaging

Abstract: Recent advances in behavioral control and measurement, as well as new techniques of imaging, allow studies in both humans and animals that combine brain imaging as behavior occurs in the conscious, behaving subject.  This symposium will highlight such approaches, where imaging is done from the cellular and subcellular level using in vivo 2-photon laser scan microscopy up to and including imaging of brain regions and subregions using BOLD MRI imaging in both humans and animals. This symposium will illustrate the potential power of the new approaches that allow measurement of behavior combined with neuronal imaging in conscious, behaving animals and humans.
