Shamus O’Reilly has a D.Phil. from University of Oxford and worked on biosensors. He then worked with Elsevier for the past 10 years and is responsible for a portfolio of journals including Ageing Research Reviews, Experimental Neurology, Journal of Neuroscience Methods, Molecular and Cellular Neuroscience, Neurobiology of Disease and Neuropharmacology.
Content: Journals form a core part of the process of scholarly communication and are an integral part of scientific research itself. Journals exist to disseminate new research findings and the latest new thinking to scholarly and professional communities worldwide. During this workshop we present a opportunity to gain insight into journal publishing from a Publisher. We will cover a myriad of topics including Authorship, Reviewing, Open Access, Ethics, Innovation and there will be ample opportunity for your questions.
